Jimmy Dillon is the Director of Hoops24-7. A former player and graduate from the University of Notre Dame, while there, he captained his team to the NIT championship game in 2000, along with setting single season records in assists, steals and games played. As a point guard and floor general, he helped develop First-Team All Americans Pat Garrity & Troy Murphy, as well as current NBA star Matt Carroll, and expand their talents at the collegiate level. After his senior season, Jimmy earned a contract to play professional basketball in Finland. After traveling around Europe for a few years, he returned home and has worked on player development in the game of basketball for over 10 years now.
Jimmy was born, and raised in Northeast Philadelphia. Jimmy's real passion lies in player development, where he works with players of all ages, from the youth of our area to professional basketball players throughout the country. Jimmy has designed and implemented basketball curriculum for over 400+ student athletes over the past decade. He provides individual and group instruction at all levels on shooting seminars, skills clinics and follows up on those players all year long, in coordination with camps and special events, that they may continue their progress. He still resides in Philadelphia, PA and is happily married with two beautiful daughters.
Frank Pellegrino
Frank Pellegrino is a Director of Hoops 24-7, along with being one of their top trainers with over 25 years of playing experience. He started playing at St. Katherines, followed by a strong career at Archbishop Ryan HS in Northeast Philadelphia. There he was a co-captain of his team and the toughest defender in the league. His defense excelled him to lead his team in steals, plus top 5 over-all for the school and was voted to the All - Catholic Team in 1998. Frank then when on the play and Graduate from Gwynedd-Mercy University in Montgomeryville, PA. As Captain for 3 years, Frank led his team to a PAC championship while being the best defender, top scorer (967 career pts), plus the leader in steals and assists on his team. He was selected to the All- PAC team 2 straight years. Frank still loves playing and teaching the game of basketball, but now he incorporates his passion and knowledge for physical fitness/nutrition while training our future young stars. Frank now works as an Account Executive for a marketing/sales firm, as well as being a certified personal trainer. He is very happily married to his loving wife and has two beautiful children.
John Pellegrino
John Pellegrino is one of our newest trainers, with over 20 years of basketball experience. John attended St. Katherine Of Siena & Archbishop Ryan Highschool. John was a recipient of the Markward Club Award & the Glen Stinnet Award, which is RYAN's most prestigeous award. John was a co-captain his senior year and led his team in assists and steals. He was voted to the All Catholic team in 2001. John went on to receive athletic & academic scholarships to Holy Family University and Arcadia University, where he led his team in assists, steals and minutes played as a freshman. John currently lives in Philadelphia with his wife Nicole and two children Logan & Faith.
Jon Hogga
Jon Hogga is one of the newer trainers at Hoops 24-7 with over 12 years of playing experience at the high school and collegiate levels. Jon went to Phoenixville High School where he scored over 1300 points and gathered in over 800 rebounds. He was first team all league his junior and senior seasons, MVP of his conference his senior year, and also an all state selection. Jon recieved a full basketball scholarship to St. Peter's College, and then transferred home to Gwynedd-Mercy College for his remaining three years of eligibility. In those three seasons at Gwynedd, Jon scored just shy of 1300 points and took in over 600 rebounds. He is a dedicated, vocal, hard working individual that loves the game of basketball. Jon graduated with a business marketing degree and looks forward to teach young kids, not only about the game of basketball, but the discipline and responsibilities that go along with life itself.
Raheem Berry
Raheem Berry played high school basketball at WestLake H.S., outside of Washinton D.C.. After earning All-Conference honors at PSU Schuyllkill, Raheem then transferred to the University of Vermont. During his senior year there he earned Third team All-conference. Raheem then went on to graduate from Vermont and started coaching for a few years at Simon Gratz H.S. and currently works with At-Risk children in Philadelphia.
Aaron "AO" Owens
Aaron “AO” Owens is a Philadelphia playground legend and former teammate of NBA star, Rasheed Wallace at Simon Gratz H.S.. After bouncing around multiple colleges Aaron finished his collegiate career at Henderson State in Arkansas. Aaron was selected in the 2002 NBDL draft and played with the Mobile Revelers. He has become a worldwide figure for his skills featured on the AND 1 mixtape tour and currently travels on the BALL UP tour.
